Assign a job to each service

Thanks to SerpApi for sponsoring this video. Luke’s recorded stack uses Namecheap for domains and DNS, Netlify for hosting and functions, Supabase for authentication and database, Resend for email and Stripe for payments. Codex or Claude Code coordinates the work; each service still supplies a distinct capability.

  1. Write the product’s main user journey and identify which service handles each stage. Keep domain routing, application logic, stored records, email delivery and payment state separate in the plan.
  2. Follow the setup chapters: Namecheap and Netlify at 9:09, Supabase and MCP at 10:40, then Stripe and Resend at 12:09. Record the account and project selected for each connection.

Give the agent access without exposing secrets

The video explains API keys at 6:44 and environment files at 8:02, then connects the stack in Codex at 12:47. Supabase uses MCP in the demonstration, with GitHub and Stripe plugins also discussed. Credentials and tool connections serve different purposes within that setup.

  1. Store secret values in the intended environment configuration, keeping them out of public source files and browser code. Record the variable names and service purpose without copying the values into shared notes.
  2. Check each connection with a small test in the intended development environment before running the whole application. Confirm which project receives database changes and which environment handles payments.

Trace one complete application journey

The closing section explains deployment, DNS, email, database and payment connections through the LaunchMate example. SerpApi has its own sponsor segment and retained link: https://serpapi.com/?utm_source=youtube&utm_campaign=ailuke_may_2026. The published 250-credit offer is historical.

  1. Open the deployed test URL and complete a small user journey. Locate the resulting database record, relevant email and payment test result rather than accepting a single success summary.
  2. When a stage fails, identify the responsible service and inspect that boundary before changing the rest of the stack. Keep the working configuration and checked journey together for later revisions.

The takeaway

The agent connects the services; an end-to-end test shows whether the product’s real journey works across them.
