Test an Android APK from a Mac with GeeLark
Install your build on a cloud phone and compare real screens with the original app.

Thanks to GeeLark for sponsoring this video.
The example uses Luke’s Serein app, an Android APK created with Claude Code and an Android 15 cloud phone. The five-minute setup mentioned in the video is an estimate.
- Prepare the APK you intend to test and record its version.
- Create the Android 15 test profile through the route shown at 1:14.
- Configure the test proxy in the demonstrated setup; the video uses a free Webshare proxy.
- Launch the cloud phone before attempting the installation.
Install and compare actual screens
A running Android app can still differ visibly from its iPhone version. Luke finds button and spacing issues.
- Upload and install the APK on the cloud phone.
- Complete the same small task in the original app and the Android build.
- Compare button sizes, spacing, navigation and the important task outcome.
- Record the screen, steps and build version for each visible defect.
Retest the changes before release
More cloud profiles can broaden the test, but they do not establish coverage of every physical Android phone.
- Fix a reproduced issue and build the revised APK.
- Install the revised version and repeat the same task.
- Use additional profiles for specific compatibility questions, recording the device and Android version.
- Keep unresolved differences on the release checklist rather than treating a successful launch as a complete compatibility test.
The takeaway
The cloud phone makes an Android test accessible from the Mac. This recorded app still required UI corrections before release.
