Connect the route and preserve the starting point

Thanks to Tencent for sponsoring this video.

The recording uses VS Code, Cline and OpenRouter. Its temporary free-access offer belongs to July and is not a current pricing claim.

  1. Follow the setup shown at 0:37 using the retained model destination.
  2. Store the API key securely and verify the selected route.
  3. Save a repository checkpoint and define the tasks before allowing changes.

Inspect the work against a real requirement

The examples redesign a landing page, select a Kanban item and investigate a bug. The source describes a test that used a fake database, illustrating why a passing test can be misleading.

  1. For the page, complete the main visitor task after the redesign.
  2. For the backlog item, compare the implementation with the actual requirement.
  3. During bug review, inspect which data source the test really exercises.
  4. Repair the underlying issue and rerun a check that reaches the intended application behaviour.

Keep advice, implemented work and bonus demos separate

The later requests use HY3 as a growth engineer and build a 3D scene. An agent’s recommendation is not a measured growth result.

  1. Read the growth suggestions against the real product and available evidence.
  2. Mark proposals separately from changes actually made.
  3. Inspect the bonus scene against its own brief.
  4. Record follow-ups, defects and usage when comparing this run with another model.

The takeaway

Useful tests reach real application behaviour. Keep the model preference and the temporary access offer attached to this recorded set of tasks.
