Cookie policy
Last updated: 11 June 2026
The short version: this site sets no tracking, advertising, or analytics cookies. It stores two small functional preferences on your device, and that is it.
What cookies are
Cookies are small files a website places in your browser to remember things between visits. Local storage works the same way — data saved in your browser, on your device. This policy covers both. UK law (PECR) requires consent before a site stores anything on your device that is not strictly necessary for the service you asked for.
What this site stores
theme— local storage, functional. Remembers whether you chose light or dark mode. Stays on your device until you clear it; never sent to us.cookie-consent— local storage, functional. Remembers the choice you made on the cookie banner so it does not reappear on every visit.
Both are set by this site only, are never used to identify or track you, and are never shared with anyone.
Third-party cookies
None. Video thumbnails load from YouTube’s image servers as plain images — no YouTube player is embedded and no third-party cookies are set on this site. External services we link to (YouTube, Calendly, Skool, and others) set their own cookies on their own sites once you leave this one.
If this changes
We may add privacy-respecting analytics in future. If anything beyond strictly functional storage is ever introduced, the cookie banner will ask for your consent first and this page will be updated before it goes live.
Managing cookies and site data
Your browser’s settings let you view, block, or delete cookies and site data for any website, including this one. Clearing site data for lukejbyrne.com removes both preferences above — the site will simply ask again.
