# Claude Desktop: inspect two agent sessions and their working context

Compare the desktop workflow with the terminal through the actual task and preview, not simply the number of open agents.

## Find the work in the updated interface

The April video introduces multi-agent sessions, live previews and a revised Claude Desktop interface. It compares those changes with Luke’s custom setup, referred to as ARC in the narration’s chapter labels and linked as ARK in the description: https://getark.app. Keep those source labels distinct rather than assuming they name a separate verified product.

The walkthrough starts with multi-agent folders at 0:35, a usage overview at 0:53 and the interface tour at 1:08. Use these sections to orient yourself before starting parallel work.

1. Choose the project folder for the task.
2. Inspect the session’s working context and the usage overview.
3. Identify the preview or output that will show whether the task is complete.

## Follow the two-agent experiment

The side-by-side test begins at 1:56, the desktop-versus-terminal speed discussion at 2:48 and the explanation of multi-agent behaviour at 3:13. Treat the test as an example of this recorded workflow. The description does not supply a controlled timing table or establish a general performance ranking.

1. Give the sessions clearly separated tasks or responsibilities.
2. Track which session is editing which part of the work.
3. Inspect each result before combining it with the other session’s output.

## Use notifications and previews for review

Notifications and live preview appear at 3:58, followed by the custom-setup comparison at 4:39. A notification helps you know where to look; the preview helps you inspect what was built. Read the result and compare the visible behaviour with the original task.

When choosing between desktop and terminal work, consider whether the interface makes your actual project easier to follow: the right files, understandable session status and an inspectable result. The title describes an update at publication time; it is not a claim that the same interface or feature availability remains unchanged today.

## The takeaway

Keep each session’s responsibility visible and use its preview and output to judge the work before combining changes.
