## Use identical inputs for the product and family tests

Luke’s December 2025 comparison tests ChatGPT’s newly released image system against Google Gemini, called Nano Banana in the title. The tasks include logo-based product imagery and ads, a family ageing example, a religious scene, a 12-event timeline and stylised images. The description identifies the tests, not a complete scored table or one verified winner across them.

1. Give both routes the same permitted logo or reference image and the same product brief. Compare placement, legibility and whether the generated product preserves the supplied brand details.
2. For the family example, use an image you have permission to process and specify the intended age change. Inspect adults and children separately, checking identity and whether the requested transformation applies consistently.

## Check the scene and infographic against explicit requirements

The scene test begins at 9:01 and the Bible timeline at 11:22. A historically themed image needs a defined reference or set of constraints to evaluate; visual realism alone cannot establish an accurate likeness of a historical person. An infographic adds a separate requirement: its written information must be correct and readable.

1. Write the scene’s required people, setting and composition before generating it. Compare both images with those constraints, separating a subjective artistic preference from an observable failure to follow the instructions.
2. For the timeline, supply the same 12 events and intended order to both models. Count the events, inspect dates and labels, and read the small text rather than judging the layout only from a zoomed-out view.

## Test style transfer and preserve the comparison record

The final examples at 14:51 include bobbleheads and other image styles, followed by the verdict at 17:01. A style transformation can look inventive while losing the subject or changing important details. Keep the reference, prompt and complete output together so the comparison remains explainable.

1. Ask both models for the same style transformation and inspect recognisable details, proportions and text. Record whether a correction is needed and preserve the first attempt alongside any revision.
2. Compare the five task results separately, including the waiting time you actually observed. Choose a route for the job you need instead of assuming a result on stylised portraits predicts infographic or product-ad performance.

## The takeaway

Match the model to the image task and its checks. Instruction following, identity, factual labels and visual taste contribute different evidence to the verdict.

## Sources and limitations

Prepared 2 November 2026 from the published video description and chapters. The actions are editorial follow-along guidance. The full video was not independently watched or transcribed and no new product test was run. Setup, availability and offers may have changed since the recording. The source uses an “accuracy” label for a historical scene; this guide does not claim a generated image establishes the verified appearance of Jesus or another historical person.
