## Write the experiment boundaries first

Thanks to daily.dev for sponsoring this video.

The video shows a scheduled task and previous reports, including failed builds. News discovery is an input to the experiments, not proof that every story deserves a working product.

1. Choose the project folder, run time, role and current goals.
2. Set a maximum number of experiments and a time limit for each.
3. Define objective checks and the report fields before running the task.
4. Keep credentials and sensitive project material out of generated reports.

## Connect the personalised feed safely

daily.dev supplies the personalised feed; the agent ranks stories against Luke’s work and checks the original sources.

1. Use the API route linked from the original video and store the token securely.
2. Never print the token in a prompt, log or morning report.
3. Rank recent stories against your actual projects, then verify selected capabilities against first-party sources.
4. Reject items that cannot be checked locally within the chosen boundary.

## Run once and review before relying on the schedule

A reusable task and a successful recurring service are different claims. Preserve unsuccessful experiments as part of the output.

1. Test the complete task manually with a small experiment count.
2. Give each experiment its own folder and run its defined checks.
3. Keep failures, missing access and unverified claims visible.
4. Review the morning report and choose which result merits deeper work before expanding the routine.

## The takeaway

The useful morning output is a tested shortlist with honest limits. This guide describes the recorded workflow and does not create or activate an automation for you.
