# Claude Code and Insforge: build a link-in-bio app with a backend

Keep the generated application, authentication, stored data and hosted result visible as separate parts of the build.

## Turn the app idea into a usable brief

The February walkthrough uses Claude Code and Insforge to build a link-in-bio app with authentication, a database and hosting. It starts from the familiar idea of a page of links, then uses Luke’s Launchpad to generate a master prompt. The original backend destination is https://insforge.dev/.

The Launchpad section begins at 1:04. Use it to settle the app’s purpose and the behaviour the finished product should support. The description does not reproduce the master prompt or give a direct Launchpad resource URL, so the recorded section is the source for that specific prompt-generation example.

1. Define the user, the links they should manage and the page visitors should see.
2. Follow the Launchpad example to produce the project brief.
3. Read the brief before passing it to the coding workflow.

## Connect the backend and inspect the application

The Insforge connection starts at 3:14. The source presents it as an AI-native backend supporting the build, while Claude Code creates the application. Keep the connection and code generation understandable so you know where authentication and data are meant to live.

The live-test chapter begins at 8:48 and reports a build in seven minutes. That timing describes the demonstration, not a guaranteed result for every project. Inspect the app’s actual behaviour rather than treating the generated screen as the complete backend test.

1. Follow the recorded Insforge connection for the project.
2. Inspect the intended sign-in and link-management flow.
3. Check whether the saved link data appears in the page it is meant to populate.

## Review the hosted version separately

Deployment begins at 11:02. Open the resulting hosted application and repeat the important user task there. A local or builder preview and a deployed page can expose different configuration problems, so keep both checks attached to the same brief.

The title’s ten-minute framing and the description’s Linktree valuation are context for the video, not evidence that the new app has that valuation, paying customers or complete commercial readiness. The useful outcome is an inspectable app with its connected services and remaining work clear. Decide the next change from the actual test rather than expanding the scope before reviewing the first version.

## The takeaway

Check the brief, backend connection, saved data and deployed user flow before treating the prototype as a finished product.
