# Macaly Cloud + Claude: build and verify a persistent idea board

The tutorial uses Macaly Cloud MCP with Claude to build a video idea board backed by a real database. Code generation, hosting and a domain are separate needs.

1. Follow the Macaly Cloud MCP connection shown at 0:59 for the chosen client.
2. Describe the idea fields, editing actions and intended users.
3. Ask for persistent database records rather than browser storage and create a small demo set.

## Test persistence through changes

The demonstration checks refresh, record editing and a new app column.

1. Create an idea, refresh the page and confirm it remains.
2. Edit the record and verify the saved value.
3. Add the new column, then confirm existing records survived the app change.
4. Inspect the dashboard’s database and testing-mode copy so you know which environment holds the records.

## Publish and check access

A live URL is followed by domain changes and email/password sign-in in the recording.

1. Publish a test version and open it in an incognito window.
2. Change the domain through the demonstrated route and retest the live page.
3. Add sign-in and check that signed-out visitors cannot see or edit the ideas.
4. Check access again after login, using the intended account and actual database records.

## The takeaway

Prove storage and permissions with the live app. Claude usage, the Macaly plan and an owned domain are separate cost considerations.
