# Four Google AI workflows: email, Sheets, a handoff app and a persistence test

Give each job the context it needs and check the result where it will actually be used.

## Draft an email from the complete thread

Thanks to Coursera for sponsoring this video.

The examples use fictional demonstration data. The first job is a reply that respects the existing conversation and does not invent commitments.

1. Give Gemini the complete relevant thread and state the reply’s purpose.
2. List the dates, promises and questions it must preserve.
3. Review the draft against the thread before sending, especially anything that sounds like an agreed deadline or offer.

## Make the spreadsheet actionable

The Sheets example is about identifying ready and blocked projects, not producing a decorative summary.

1. Provide the project table and define the status fields.
2. Ask which items are ready, blocked or missing a necessary input.
3. Check the answer against individual rows and correct ambiguous status definitions before acting on it.

## Build and test the handoff app

Google AI Studio builds an editor handoff app, but publication does not prove that multiple users share the same data.

1. Describe the handoff records, actions and intended users before generating the app.
2. Create a demo record and edit it.
3. Publish a test version, then open a separate browser session and check whether the record and update are present.
4. Resolve the storage and access model before introducing real production information.

## The takeaway

Test the job’s actual requirement: a faithful email, correct rows or data that persists for the intended users. The original description’s demo-file link was unfinished, so no download is promised here.

## Sources and limitations

Written follow-along guide prepared 31 October 2026 from this exact published video’s description and chapter sequence. The checklists are editorial adaptations, not verbatim transcript quotations.
